" I enjoy working in different mediums, switching back and forth or mixing them up. For the past number of years however the medium of soft pastel has become my medium of choice. I enjoy its immediacy and vibrancy especially for "plein air" work. Pastel can be wild and bold or soft and subtle, a delicious medium to work with.

When traveling, I always take a small art pack, usually watercolours and a camera to record as much resource material as possible for my studio work. I love studying how the light affects colour and defines the character of the different locales.
